Sabil & Sons

The last show of August promised to be a good one....I always love "Old Timer's Night" when the antique racers from tracks like Bear Ridge are put on display, as well as street rods and show cars. There's something cool about seeing a spotless 1955 Chevy Show Car putting laps on a 1/4 mile clay track! Oh...and there was some racing as well!

The DIRTcar sanctioned Mods saw Adam Pierson grab his 4th Feature win of the season,

leading Jason Gray and Kevin Chaffee onto the podium

In the Hornets, Eric Lang took home his 8th Feature of the season, holding off Mike Stender and

Thomas Placey

In the Fast Fours, Kevin Harran picked up his 4th Feature win and moved back on top of the

point standings. Travis Hull and Bobby Bell completed the top three

The Coupes put on quite a show, with tie-breakers deciding the top three spots after two 30 lap segments.

Shane Race, Gene Pierson Jr, Bobby Shepherd and Josh Harrington all finished with 8 points. The tie-breaker

is always the best finishing spot in the final segment. In this case, that went to Race, followed by

Pierson and Shepherd.

Points leader Tyler Stygles picked up the win in the Limited Late Model Feature,

followed by Jordan Fornwalt and Ray Johnson

Chad Southworth picked up his first career win in the 500cc portion of the visiting

Granite State Mini-Sprints. 11 year old Dylan Rock finished second and Troy Boissoneau

third.

Another first time winner as Spencer Allen took home the checkers in the 600cc

Granite State Mini Sprints Feature. Rich Crooker and Zach Herbert completed the top three

Travis King grabbed the win in the Hornet Stingers...he was followed by Kodie Pittman and Geoff Durphey

Any question why I love "Old Timer's Night?"
