Miller Auto - Noise-R-Us

Last week rained out before almost all of the Features were run....so that made this one of the biggest cards in the track's history. Not only were there Double Features in the Mods, Coupes, and Fast Fours but regular Main Events for the Hornets and Hornet Stingers. Don't forget the Sprint Cars Of New England making their first trip to Bradford of the season....oh....and the USAC Dirt Midget Association's third visit. Throw in a fireworks show by Noise-R-Us and it was a long night of action that fans of dirt track racing would have nothing to complain about.

In the make-up Feature from last week's Well's River Savings Bank Event, Gene Pierson held off Josh Harrington

and Terry Williams in the Coupes.

To celebrate the appearance of both the USAC DMA and SCoNE on the same card, a match-race was

held between Joe Krawiec's Midget versus Kevin Chaffee and his Sprint car. Is there really ever a loser with trophy

girls like this? Looked like a tie to me!

In the first of their two Main Events, Danny Doyle fought off Bobby Bell and Andy Johnson

for another Fast Four's victory

Chris Donnelly celebrates his first Feature Event win of the night with runner-Danny Eastman and Adam Pierson....

along with representatives from Home Depot.

Robert Tucker picked up his second consecutive Feature Event win in the make-up race from last week.

He was followed across the line by Richie Simmons and Troy Comeau.

"Flat Foot" Joe Krawiek continued his unbeaten streak in the USAC DMA Feature....holding off Scott Holcomb

and Joe Horn.

In the regularly scheduled Fast Four Main Event for Milelr Auto Group, rookie Bobby Bell held off

Travis Hull and Danny Doyle for his first win of the season. This Division is worth the price of admission alone!

The WYKR Sprint Cars of New England Main Event saw history made as Chris Donnelly became the first driver

to win Features in two different divisions on the same card at Bear Ridge. In this one, Donnelly held off front-runners

Kevin Chaffee and Dan Douville in a great battle!

I expect that most photographers have battery issues at one point or another....mine all occurred around the time of

this double roll-over and car fire in the Hornets Feature. CreativeOutbursts.com drivers Don Reynolds and

Steve Sheldon got hooked up and both went for a ride...thankfully both walked away

Eric Lang got back on a winning track, taking the Checkers over Mike Stender and Thomas Placey in the

Hornets Feature.

In what turned out to be a battle of attrition, Geoff Durphey was the only Hornet Stinger to make it to the end

and he took home the big trophy

In the second Coupes Feature of the night, Veteran Bob Shepherd won his first Main Event in years, holding off

Josh Harrington and Shane Race in a wild battle

Jason Gray was able to hold off a couple guys who were becoming very familiar with Victory Lane on this night....

as Kevin Chaffee and Chris Donnelly picked up trophies in the DIRTcar Sanctioned Mods Feature

Robert Tucker grabbed the sweep - and three in a row overall - in a crazy Feature among the Limited Late Models.

He held off 14 year old rookie Jordan Fornwalt (who drove a Hell of a race!) and veteran Ray Johnson.

What would a 4th of July weekend race be without fireworks? Thanks

to the folks at Noise-R-Us, we didn't have to find out!
