Mekkelsen RV

It was pretty evident by my breath showing up in some of my photos that fall is coming to Vermont.... soon! It was comfortable during the day....comfortable enough that I forgot to bring anything beyond the t-shirt I was wearing. But the sun went down early...before the first heat race even started. And then it turned into blanket and mitten time weather. The action on the track kept folks standing up and clapping to stay warm.

Gene Pierson Jr took his 6th win of the season in the coupes....leading Josh Harrington and

rookie Jeff Robbins onto the podium. It was Robbins best career finish

In the Hornets, Eric Lang bounced back from last week's DNF to grab his 9th

win of the season, beating out Mike Stender and Thomas Placey

Veterans Dan Eastman and Adam Pierson sandwiched sophomore driver Justin Comes

in the Winner's Circle among the Mods

14 year old Jordan Fornwalt grabbed his 3rd win in the Limited Late Models,

holding off Robert Tucker and Tyler Stygles who have a great battle going

at the top of the points chart

After another great Feature Event, Travis Hull was able to grab his 4th win of the season in

the Fast Fours....with Danny Doyle and Kevin Harran filling out the top three.

11 (and a half) year old Dylan Rock took home the win in the Granite State Mini Sprints 500cc class,

besting Troy Boissoneau and Lacey Hanson

Rich Crooker won his 6th Feature of the season in the Granite State Mini Sprints 600cc class.

Jake Williams was second and rookie Scott Preston was third.

Joe Krawiec clinched the inaugural USAC Dirt Midget Association with his 4th win of the 7 race series.

Scott Holcomb finished second and Tony Montessi was third.

Kodey Pittman won his third Hornet Stinger Feature of the year...but Travis King clinched the Championship

with his second place finish. Geoff Durphey finished third in the main event

Due to a serious lack of cars for the Enduro, it was decided that cars which compete weekly

in the Hornets division could run - but not with their normal drivers. Justin St. Louis came down from

his duties as announcer and climbed into Thomas Placey's machine. 75 laps later and he had himself a win...

and then he did one of the best reverse victory laps I've seen. Awesome!!!!
