Placey, Thomas
Tom had a phenomenal season in 2010, finishing 10th in points and easily grabbing the Rookie Of The Year Award in the Street Stock Division. Ask him what he's most proud of and he'll tell you it was his consistency as he qualified straight out of his heat to the Feature Event in every event except the very last Thursday night race. Collected in a spin involving cars that were already in qualified spots, Placey had to race his way in through the Reserve Feature....a task that he did handily. Look for Tom to pick up a few podium finishes this year at Thunder Road......and look for him amongst my Bear Ridge drivers as well.

EVENT 17 - BOND AUTO LABOR DAY CLASSIC
SEPTEMBER 3-4, 2011
There is no way to describe Thomas' weekend except to say that he got screwed!
After turning the 2nd quickest lap time, he was lined up to start outside pole in segment one.
Just before the Street Stocks pulled onto the track, he was told that he would have to run Goodyears
instead of the tires that have been allowed all season. With no time to even look for others,
he pulled back into the pits and gave up his chance for a great event. He ran segment two but
obviously couldn't put together a combined score worth a damn.
SEASON RECAP
*Thomas finished tied for 18th in the Street Stock Division*
