Campbell, Tim

Tim and I have been friends for over 25 years....Hell, my daughter is his great niece....or however that's worded. He is the little brother of my best friend and Uncle of my ex-wife. He's also one damn fine Stock Car driver. 2010 was an incredible year for Tim on the high banks at Thunder Road, driving his Street Stock to 5 Feature Event wins and a Second Place finish in the season points race. He carried the first CreativeOutbursts.com decal to ever turn a lap on a race track....and I expect to see him carry it into Victory Lane a few times this season as well.

Leaving the track after picking up the trophy for 3rd Place in the Car Show!

After finishing a strong second in his heat, Tim survived this spin to finish in 16th...not where he wants

to be but certainly not as bad as it could have been!

EVENT 2 - MEKKELSEN RV MEMORIAL DAY CLASSIC

MAY 29, 2011

Tim was really happy with his car after practice....but it sure wouldn't last

JUNE 26, 2011

Tim's car looked out of control pretty much all day....not sure what was up

Getting dumped in the Feature sure didn't help...Tim was credited with a 21st place finish

EVENT 6 - FAIRPOINT COMMUNICATIONS

JUNE 30, 2011

To say that Tim had a night to remember (although he can't remember parts of it) is an understatement! For the first time in a long time I forgot to do my "job" as I watched for movement in the wreckage rather than shooting photos of the scene. You'll see what I mean.

Action from the heat race

Tim looked pretty good early in the Feature

In one of the hardest wrecks I've ever seen, Tim came off the wall and was destroyed by two cars at top speed

down the front stretch. Neither Joe Blais or Keith Lord (#68) could avoid him.

The remains of Campbell's car.....both door panels, the front fenders and the front end all came off both sides.

Tim was transported to the local hospital where he was treated and released. This car was obviously junk....

friends and family converged on Tim's house and he will be on track at the July 4th event in a new/old car.

Check out a gallery of the damage....as well as efforts of family and friends to build Tim a new/old ride in just a weekend

EVENT 7 - PEPSI HOLIDAY EVENT

JULY 4, 2011

Not a bad looking ride considering it was about a 36 hour construction. There was a problem with rear-end gears

which kept Tim from making it onto the track for his heat.....

Campbell looked really good in the Reserve Feature, fighting his way into the Main Event

Tim acknowledges his family and friends who broke out the paint sticks and wrote a message to him -

let's pretend that TIM 34! is in the right order haha

Overall, Tim had a pretty good night - finishing in 12th (I think). Definitely a testament to friends, family and

sportsmanship!

EVENT 8 - CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS

JULY 7, 2011

Fans on Turn Three welcome Tim back after his wreck just a week ago

Campbell fought his way in through the Reserve Feature

Tim lost a left front tire late in the Feature and ended with a 20th place finish

EVENT 9 - TIMES ARGUS MID-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS

JULY 14, 2011

Tim had an interesting start to his night as he and Kyle Streeter both when over the top off Turn Two in

the Heat Race. Tim returned...Kyle had some damage that would need to be repaired

Campbell had to fight his way in through the Reserve Feature

Tim got spun in the Feature and ended with another disappointing result

EVENT 10 - CASELLA WASTE MANAGEMENT

JULY 21, 2011

Tim did not compete at this event

EVENT 11 - WDEV & CALKINS PORTABLE TOILETS

JULY 28, 2011

I have to admit that I was a little nervous when Tim got close to Kyle Hess in his heat race after both were

given last week off after an altercation in the pits. They both raced clean.

Campbell had a great battle for second place in the Feature with Bunker Hodgdon

The way this season has gone, I'm sure that this 2nd place trophy felt like a win for Timmy!

EVENT 12 - SAFELITE AUTO GLASS

AUGUST 4, 2011

Campbell started the night off right, qualifying straight out of his heat race

Great battle at the front in the Feature

place interview. Thanks Bro!!

Tim won this event last season....a 5th place finish this year probably felt almost as good!

EVENT 14 - TRIPLE 50'S SPECIAL EVENT

AUGUST 11, 2011

Tim continued his good streak....picking up a win in qualifying

Good run in the first segment put Campbell in a good spot for the overall event

Tim's momentum continued as he was awarded a 5th place combined finish

EVENT 15 - VERMONT ACE HARDWARE STORES

AUGUST 18, 2011

Tim was sent to the back after contact with Cameron Oullette in qualifying

This spin into the infield ensured that Campbell wouldn't grab a top ten finish

EVENT 16 - AUBUCHON HARDWARE - BENJAMIN MOORE PAINT

AUGUST 26, 2011

Tim couldn't quite get by Jeffrey Martin in qualifying

In the Feature, Campbell was forced off turn three by Sid Sweet.....thankfully the damage was minor

SEPTEMBER 3-4, 2011

The weekend started with the conclusion on the Feature from Riverside....and an

8th place finish for Campbell

'B' Feature....which he won and made it into the show

Leading Sid Sweet in Segment One

Competing in Segment Two.....Campbell finished 6th overall
