Opening Day at Thunder Road is considered as much of a holiday in Central Vermont as Christmas. The 52nd season kicked off on a beautiful Sunday afternoon...one of the first such days of the year. Well over 100 cars packed the pits as a full house packed the stands....EVERYONE was ready to get the fun started!
I have no idea what the estimated attendance was...but can bet that they had a great afternoon!
Things kicked off with "Class Day" as all of the cars gathered in the infield to thank the fans
The flagman plays Ole' as one of the Late Models flips down the front stretch
